good mower for price Used this mower for last two seasons and it has been great. I had the start and die issue also but some carberator cleaner and some ethanol treatment cleared it right up. Hit a rock and the only thing it done was bent the blade everything else held up great. October 21, 2013
Push Lawn Mower I actually have a 20 inch PR450 mower but this model was not listed. We have a small lawn with hills. Since I have limited strength (carpel tunnel/bum shoulder), the 20 inch really suits my needs and can mow hills/banks easier. I did have a 22 inch which led me to purchase this 20 inch. The main problem is the oil cap which remains very stuborn to remove. The cap is housed with the wall of the engine on one side and another pastic piece on the other side making it very difficult to use a pliers. Plus, there is very little lip for the pliers to actually fit around it. I struggled all afternoon trying to get it off and am practically destroying the plastic from which it is made. I called the company and the best suggestion was to use W-40 (which has not worked). Have not had it long enough to know how well it will do over time. Mouth to pour gas in is larger than most. Fixed it Had same old problem. New wouldn,t run more than a few minutes and die. Then it started spitting and spuddering so I ordered a after market carb and replaced in 15 mins. Now starts on first pull and have mowed last 6 weeks (2 x a wk) and its running great. Carb was $15. So dont through it away. July 3, 2013
Defective Once I prime my mower it starts immediately, but in less than 30 seconds shuts down. I have spent more time trying to repair mower than cutting my lawn. Only got about five uses before this started. June 18, 2013
Troubles I purchased two, one for each of my daughters. Both have the same problem. Run for 30 seconds and then dies. Reading other reviews, I think it is a problem with all these machines. Will only last for a few mows. Don't waste your money. You will be aggravated. May 4, 2013
LOVE THIS MOWER!!! This is the best mower I have ever used/owned!!! See were I live I have a little bit of everything uneven ground gopher holes ect. This will be my 3 or 4 year using it with out any trouble! It can handle branches garbage bags Trash anything even with the grass higher than the front wheels and as low as it will go it does not stop!!! Talk about power!!! So you can see I am HARD on mowers this is the only one I have used that can stand up to a beating!!! Even the paint is in GREAT Shape after all of the years of beating! Will not even DENT! I was cleaning under it and hitting it with a rubber mallet worked great and just bounced back off of it with out in dent and I was hitting on it really hard!!! ALSO NEVER EVER PUT ETHANOL GAS IN ANY MOWER IT WILL NOT RUN GOOD AT ALL AND WILL GUM UP THE SPARK PLUG AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE!!! It is worth the extra 10 cents to keep your mower running at its best!!! March 9, 2013
