poulan Model PR625YV21R3 the mower has plastic pinon gears that wear out in about 15 mowing took to dealer to get fix waited 5 months then repair dealer said it was normal wear and want 153.00 I left it at the repair shop not worth the price as most repair shops will tell you plastic gears no good should have metal gears .will never buy a one again murray a piece of junk March 19, 2014
Good value First, Kudos to Poulin for allowing that negative 1 star review. Something to be said for honesty. My Poulin works great. Quiet, easy to start. Does exactly what its supposed to do after a year and a half of use. I like it. My only beef is that the handle didn't attach the way it was designed. Wrong handle? I had to bend it to several inches mount it. Metal bends, so no great problem. I recommended the product to a friend who bought the same model and he's happy with his. June 29, 2013
Briggs engine blew on me. Only used the mower for the late Spring and Fall months and when I went to do my maintenance the next Spring the engine was running rough. Was a knocking noise coming from the engine and when I pulled the dipstick the oil was gray with metal in it. Well being well under warranty I took it to a dealer to get fixed but was told it would not be warrantied. First was told the bearings went from lack of oil but I know there has always been oil in it. Then when I tried to contest it I was then told it was due to dirt intrusion. Hmmm make up your mind. So now I have a piece of junk after many calls to both Poulan and Briggs and Stratton. My next mower will be a Honda. Yah try to buy American and this is how yah get treated. The mower still had a year of warranty but they will do anything to get out of the warranty. Don't use your mower cause it might get dirty, they won't warranty it. This leads me to believe that they must have tons of mowers with Briggs engines blown in the first year of use and that's why they won't take the loss warrantying them all. Had older mowers with Briggs engines and they have lasted for years with once a year maintenance. They must be making them cheaper these days and charging more for them. June 3, 2013

Cutting Width The Cut Width of the PR625N21RH3 LawnMower is 21". I purchased this model in July 2011 and so far I have had to change/ replace two (2) blades after hitting some low stumps with deep-seated roots from plants that were cut down but not low enough. Needless to say I fully uprooted the offending stumps and I hope that I will not damage the blades for this reason. At the store I noticed there were two (2) types of 21" blades: 1. 21" Mulching Blade #PP23020, and 2. 21" Premium Mulching Blade #PP22024. I am now visiting the 'poulanPRO' website to get some more info. on these different blades and 'user-experience' with the lawnmower. January 31, 2012
