bad adjustment on main drive belt In the first week I broke 2 main drive belts (part 144959) for the blades before my neighbor looked at it and saw that the pully's were not set correctly. How was I to know? It should have come properly adjusted from the factory. It cost me (2) $35 belts before he fixed it, and trying to figure out how to put the first one on since the broken one had exited the mower. Really bad quality control. Very dissapointed. Will probably buy another brand for my next purchase, October 7, 2013
Good solid mower Although I haven't had this mower very long, it appears to be a good product. It may not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive models, but it does what I want it to do and was a good value. The steering is very good. Only negatives, so far, are not having an owner's manual provided with it (it's available as a download) and the oil drain plug is located where it's very difficult to change the oil without making a mess. It's not as described in the manual. A short threaded nipple and elbow should solve the problem. Why do I have to think of that? August 28, 2013
Poulan Pro PB195H42LT is a very good mower. We bought this mower and it has been a very good mower. Very powerful and cuts beautifully! So easy to use that I have lost my job! My wife does the lawn now. She won't let me..... See what a great mower this is. As a matter of fact. My wife does the yard in less than three hours and it used to take almost five hours with our old mower. I could have not made a better buy. Made my job at home much better! Thanks Poulan Pro. I love the fact my wife is helping out. And she does too! We have two acres of grass and it is a dream to use. Turns with ease and has plenty of power to tackle the tall thick grass after a two week vacation! The ease of access to all the maintenance areas if great. So far a well made tool ... Locally to me and all made in USA! Way to go ... Orangeburg South Carolina! May 18, 2013
This is cheap metal The deck is a very thin type and within the first year the discharge area started to tear and the deck wash part broke off. The design for changing the oil has got to be one of the worst designs I have ever seen, the oil filter when removed pours oil all over the frame and the oil drain port is even worse. May 2, 2013
MOWER IS A GREAT PRODUCT! I bought this mower a year ago and had no problems with it. I weigh over 200 LBS. and the engine has no problems pulling me and cutting high tuffs of grass in the yard. I've decided to install a oil drain valve w/ hose and a mulch kit on it this Spring. It takes the OEM42mk mulch kit for the 2012. I am extremely impressed with this mower! April 20, 2013
bad buy I guess? searched around and finaly decided to buy this product..Had it for a month and a part "broke" ordered a new one, cost way to much and toook forever to get here. Parts came and while repairing it I noticed a larger part was busted.... Phoning tomorow to order the part, who knows how much or how long. Would not recomend this mower to anyone July 19, 2012
Great mower I bought this lawn tractor in May 2009. I have had zero problems with this tractor. In the 3 years I've owned it, I've cut my grass 2 or more times a week and I live in a climate where the lawn needs cutting even in the "winter months". Starts everytime, cuts the lawn even though I haven't sharpened or changed the blades in over 3 years. The belt is just now being changed out after 3 years #which is way over the average lifetime of any other belt I've seen#. June 24, 2012
GREAT VALUE !!! Bought this mower a while back and I am happy to report that the Poulan name is once again making well built user friendly products! The Briggs & Stratton Intek engine starts easy runs great and has loads of power. I tried several before I bought this Poulan Pro and I feel it is the best value available by far. May 20, 2012
