PB22H46YT Bad Designed Deck This mower is built well, but serious problem with the deck design. Mulching Kit not very effective for thick grass. I have adjusted everything that I can adjust and the results are the same. Uneven lawn cut and cuts in on turns. August 11, 2013
Poulan Pro 96012004700 - Review This Poulan Pro 96012004700, PNC 960120047, SN 103105B00594, Made in Orangeberg, SC, has had problems since day one. The cut was never even, especially when turning. Good aspects are the B&S Engine works great, appears easy to maintain. The battery went bad within two years, so I got a Duralast from Autozone that has outlasted the original. I really wanted a mulching mower, but placing mulching blades on does not work, as it just spews out un-mulched grass, mounding and causing the lawn to die. The seat does not have adequate springs. When I go fast over uneven ground my rear takes a pounding that hurts my back, so I have to slow down, even on the straight-away. The best improvements you could make is to (a) make the deck navigate turns without gouging the grass, (b) allow for easy adjustment of the deck to even it back up if it gets lower on one side that the other, (c) identify and implement a better seat that can take rough terrain without jarring one's spine, (d) make it easier to change the oil without spilling on the ground, (e) allow for easy-tilting to sharpen the blades. Poulan Pro 46" riding mower This mower is fantastic..! The Briggs 22hp engine is much more power than I need and is very economical on gas. The hydrostatic transmission is a hit with the wife and helps us both mow much faster with the RPM's higher and getting a better cut. Everything is solid. Very well made. Never considered Poulan Pro while shopping for mowers, but so glad I made the connection I did and purchased this brand. Comfortable seat and drink holder make for stress free mowing. My two dis-likes are the position of the mowing deck level handle and I can't see the gas level through the window gauge below seat. The gas is too clear and is difficult to see. The mowing deck handle is a thigh buster. May 6, 2012
