Several problems with the fuel lines. Hole in talk, fuel lines in tank brittle and filter breaks off. August 22, 2013
Starter Darter This is my second Poulan trimmer. The first one I returned for money back because it wouldn't start. I then bought another. It has the same problems, it won't start. I changed the gas, etc, but no help. Since I have bought several; attachments, I need it to run. Some of the local shops that work on lawn equipment for businesses won"t touch a POULAN. What do I do now? July 8, 2013
dont buy three times starter cord assembly has failed. This is exteremely frustrating, there is obviously an issue with this model. June 3, 2013
Looking to replace a good one. I came to the Poulan Pro website to see if my next purchase would be a new model or the PP335 I need to replace. I WILL likely purchase another PP335. Mine has been great but the repeated use and less than optimal maintenance are catching up......as is the E10 gas. One word of wisdom, the spinning part where the line goes will eventually wear out. When this happens, a moderate line contact will pull out the line. When this happens ditch the factory trimmer head and replace it with the Shakespeare 4 line model. May 9, 2013
Good for maybe one season at best! I thought I was buying a high end weedeater that looked tough enough to handle most home projects. Its consistency in idling was hit or miss. The second season the fuel lines needed replacing. After that was done it still would not crink. After further troubleshooting I finally came to the conclusion that the carburateur needed to be rebuilt or replaced. At this point I decided it was time to buy a cheaper different brand with one that has a better track record. Do not waste your money on this product!!! May 4, 2013
wORKHORSE I have to wonder if the people who gave this unit a bad review, simply don't know how to use it correctly. i have owned mine for two years, and i work in the lawn care business. so its fired up on a daily basis, and is ALWAYS ready to go. swapping out attachments ( even from other brands ) is a simple swap and click process and your ready to go within seconds. mine has been used in virtually every angle ( when hedger attachment used ) and doesn't miss a beat April 2, 2013
STARTER SHROUD KEEPS BREAKING BECAUSE OF THE ATTACHMENTS THE UNIT IS VERY CONVENIENT I HAVE OWN 7 UNITS AND I DONT KNOW IF ILL BE BUYING ANOTHER, OVER THE LAST SEVEN YEARS I STARTED WITH ONE OF THE LOWER END MODELS AFTER A YEAR IT BROKE IT JUST DIDNT WANT TO START, I CALLED AND THEY GAVE ME A SHOP TO GO TO. THE TRIMMER COST $69 AND THE SHOP WANTED TO CHARGE ME $75 TO FIX THE CARBS PLUS I LOST THE DEPOSIT MONEY OF $25 SO GOT A REPLACEMENT, A YEAR LATER SAME THING BUT LIKE I SAID FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF ALL THE ATTACHMENTS I MOVED UP THEN A DIFF PROBLEM WITH THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF PP335 NOT EASY START AND THE STARTED HOUSING, REPLACED IT WITH PP335 AND SAME PROBLEM NOT AN EASY START AS DESCRIBED AND THE STARTER SHROUD WENT BAD AGAIN.
